Our Story

In 1990, a powerful photo-documentary by Michael Carroll and Dr. Bill Griffo unveiled the dire situation of Romanian orphans and the pediatric AIDS crisis. This compelling footage led to the establishment of Romanian Children’s Relief, a dedicated organization focused on aiding children in Romania. With the official registration of Fundația Inocenți in 1998, the mission expanded to provide comprehensive support to vulnerable children and families.

Impact

For over 30 years, Romanian Children’s Relief has been a beacon of hope for disadvantaged children, offering personalized support in hospitals, schools, and communities. Annually, more than 4,000 children and families benefit from our structured programs, which now include vital mental health education.
