Our Story

Founded by John Kincaid, a Professor of Music at Western State College, Rocky Mountain Brassworks has a rich history rooted in the passion for brass band music. After extensive research in New Zealand, Kincaid inspired local musicians to form a brass band in Denver, which eventually became Rocky Mountain Brassworks in 1978. With a commitment to excellence, the band has performed at prestigious events, including the Colorado Music Educators convention and for dignitaries such as the Lord Mayor of London and Pope John Paul.

Impact

Rocky Mountain Brassworks enriches communities through live performances, fostering a love for British-style brass band music and supporting local music education.
