The Rockaway Initiative for Sustainability and Equity (R.I.S.E.) is dedicated to fostering a socially equitable and sustainable coastal community in Rockaway, New York.

Impact

Each year, R.I.S.E. serves over 40,000 community members, removes 3,000 lbs of trash from the shoreline, and distributes 10,000 lbs of local organic produce to residents.
