Our Story

Founded in 1951 by a passionate group of non-professional actors known as the 'Log Cabin Players', the Rochester Civic Theatre has transformed from a humble production of Moss Hart’s Light Up the Sky into an award-winning multidisciplinary theater. Over the decades, it has become a cornerstone of arts and culture in Rochester and southeast Minnesota, opening its doors to the nonprofit performing arts community in 2020.

Impact

Celebrating its 73rd season, the Rochester Civic Theatre continues to provide a vital platform for various performing arts organizations, enriching the cultural landscape of the region.
