Our Story

Founded by a consortium of eight faith-based organizations, Neighborhood House began as a referral service for families facing financial difficulties in Oakland County. Over the years, it has expanded its offerings to include a Food Pantry and Clothes Closet, providing essential resources to those in need. The organization has evolved to focus on long-term self-sustainability, adapting its services to meet the growing demands of the community, especially during crises like COVID-19.

Neighborhood House serves over 3,000 households annually, acting as a beacon of hope for families living paycheck to paycheck. Through various programs and support services, it helps individuals achieve self-sustainability.
