Founded by The North Ward Center, Inc., Robert Treat Academy Charter School was established to provide a superior educational program for Newark's urban, minority children. Since opening in September 1997, the Academy has expanded to two campuses, achieving significant academic success and community impact.
Robert Treat Academy has been recognized for its academic excellence, achieving National Blue Ribbon School status and being named a Reward School for three consecutive years, with overall proficiency greater than 90%.
