Our Story

Road Trip Home Animal Rescue Inc was founded by passionate volunteers who recognized the urgent need for transport services to save the lives of homeless pets. After successfully developing a transport division with another local rescue group, the decision was made to branch out independently. In 2013, Road Trip Home became a stand-alone charity with 501(c)(3) status, focusing on pulling dogs and cats from shelters across Georgia, including metro Atlanta and surrounding counties.

Impact

Since hitting the road in 2011, RTH has saved over 18,546 lives. With the help of dedicated volunteers and foster families, pets are transported to loving homes in the Northeast, where they are welcomed into communities eager to embrace them.
