Rizing Tide Foundation

Our Story

Founded by Dr. Heidi Jannenga, Rizing Tide Foundation emerged from a personal journey and a pressing need for diversity in the physical therapy workforce. Established in late 2019, the foundation gained clarity on its mission in 2020, amidst significant social justice movements. Rizing Tide is dedicated to creating a more inclusive physical therapy community, believing that diversity leads to improved patient care and outcomes.

Impact

Since its inception, Rizing Tide has committed over $1.1 million to support the education of 44 scholars from Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and residency programs nationwide. The foundation has also provided 31 hours of premium live education, receiving over 780 scholarship applications, showcasing its profound impact on aspiring physical therapists.
