Our Story

Founded in 1994 by Mary Reid, River Wranglers began as a project to enhance water quality education in rural communities. Incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2000, the organization focuses on empowering youth through hands-on watershed education and mentorship. By engaging students in real-world conservation efforts, River Wranglers fosters a deep connection to the Carson River watershed.

Our Impact

River Wranglers educates youth about the significance of their local watershed, promoting environmental stewardship and community involvement. Through experiential learning, students gain valuable insights into conservation practices that benefit the Carson River.
