Our Story

Missouri River Relief began as a grassroots initiative in mid-Missouri, uniting citizens passionate about the stewardship of the Missouri River. Since its inception in 2001 with a river clean-up event, the organization has evolved into a vibrant community dedicated to education, stewardship, and recreation along the river.

Impact

With the help of over 33,000 volunteers, Missouri River Relief has successfully removed over 2 million pounds of trash from 1,700 miles of the river, while connecting more than 39,000 students and teachers to vital educational programs.
