Our Story

Founded in 1982, River Bend Food Bank began as River Bend Food Reservoir with a mission to redistribute food to those in need. Starting with just 190,000 pounds of food in its first year, it has grown to distribute over 20 million meals annually through a network of over 300 partner agencies across 23 counties in eastern Iowa and western Illinois.
