Our Story

Founded in 1994, Rising Sun Center for Opportunity began as Rising Sun Energy Center in Santa Cruz, California. Over the years, the organization has evolved to meet the needs of participants and communities, focusing on preparing individuals for good jobs and green pathways that promote economic equity and mobility. Today, Rising Sun serves the Bay Area and San Joaquin County, building a climate-resilient future for all.
