Our Story

Miss Alyssa, the Executive Director of Rise Up School of Dance, experienced the transformative power of ballet firsthand. Growing up unable to afford lessons, she won a drawing for six months of free ballet classes at age nine. This opportunity ignited her passion for dance and inspired her to create a ballet school that removes financial barriers for children. In June 2015, she and a team of dedicated volunteers began offering free ballet classes, which blossomed into the Rise Up School of Dance in September 2017.

Impact

Since its inception, Rise Up School of Dance has provided free weekly ballet lessons to over 600 children, fostering personal growth and community engagement.
