Our Story

The Rio Grande Valley Celtic Festival Association unites New Mexico’s Celtic community to celebrate the rich traditions of the seven Celtic nations: Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Brittany, Isle of Man, Cornwall, and Galicia. Each year, the Association hosts a vibrant festival filled with Celtic dance, athletics, games, music, arts, and oral traditions, fostering a deep appreciation for Celtic heritage in New Mexico.

Our Impact

Through engaging festivals and educational grants, the Association promotes Celtic culture and supports community needs. The Governor’s Office has even designated the 3rd Saturday in May as Celtic Heritage Day in New Mexico, highlighting the significance of this cultural celebration.
