About Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue

Founded in 2000 by Marcia Libby and a passionate group of volunteers, Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue (ROAR) is dedicated to rescuing abandoned and surrendered cats and dogs. This grassroots initiative began with exercising dogs at the Ridgefield Animal Shelter and has since evolved into a vital organization that established the Donofrio Family Animal Shelter in 2005.

Impact

Since its inception, ROAR has successfully placed over 5,000 neglected and unwanted animals into loving homes across Ridgefield and neighboring towns in Connecticut and New York.
