Our Story

Founded in 1957 by Franklyn and Mary Ellen Ward, Ridge Area Arc began as a day school for 17 children with disabilities. Over the years, it has grown to provide 10 essential services to approximately 190 individuals in Highlands, Hardee, and Polk counties, ensuring that everyone has access to the resources they need.
