Our Story

The story of PEP Housing began in Petaluma, where a group of dedicated clergy and civic leaders recognized a troubling situation: many elderly individuals were living in converted garages, storage units, and tents without basic necessities. In 1978, these compassionate citizens came together as volunteers, determined to create a solution for seniors with limited income. Their efforts led to the establishment of PEP Housing, which has since developed and manages 19 affordable housing properties, providing 671 apartments for over 700 seniors.
