Our Story

The Reynoldstown Civic Improvement League was established in 1952, emerging from a need for community involvement during a time of segregation and disenfranchisement. Founded with the support of the Atlanta University School of Social Work and the Atlanta Urban League, the League aimed to empower residents through political engagement and youth development. Over the years, it has evolved into a vital force for community advocacy, focusing on voter registration and public education initiatives.

Our Impact

Through dedicated advocacy, the RCIL has successfully championed essential community needs, including the construction of the I.P. Reynolds School and the installation of streetlights, significantly enhancing the quality of life for residents.
