Reuniting Combat Veterans
Providing Emotional Support
Facilitating Healing from Shared Trauma
Helping Veterans Transition to Civilian Life

Our Story

Founded by Mary Henry and her son Eric Harder, Reuniting After War emerged from the challenges faced by veterans reintegrating into civilian life after deployment. Following Eric's third deployment in 2010, where he lost eight comrades during the Battle of Cop Keating, Mary organized a reunion in 2016 for Eric and 23 of his fellow soldiers. This gathering provided essential emotional support and healing, leading to the establishment of a nonprofit dedicated to facilitating similar reunions for combat veterans.

Our Impact

Reuniting After War is committed to reducing the emotional disconnection veterans experience post-deployment. By facilitating reunions, the organization fosters healing and support among combat veterans. The number of annual reunions has successfully increased from one to two, with aspirations for further expansion as opportunities arise.
