About ResourceWest
Established in 1993, ResourceWest has been a beacon of hope for individuals and families in the West Metro area. Originally founded through the collaborative efforts of the city of Hopkins and the Hopkins School District, ResourceWest has evolved to meet the diverse needs of the community. In 2001, the organization received its 501(c)(3) designation, and in 2003, it expanded its reach to include the city of Minnetonka and its school district. Recognizing the broader impact it had on surrounding communities, ResourceWest officially changed its name in 2009 to better reflect its mission.
ResourceWest serves a wide range of communities, including parts of Hopkins, Minnetonka, Deephaven, Excelsior, Golden Valley, Greenwood, Shorewood, and Woodland. The organization is committed to providing essential resources without charge, ensuring that no one in the community has to choose between basic necessities like groceries and rent. With a dedicated team that includes bilingual social workers and case managers, ResourceWest is equipped to address the unique challenges faced by its diverse clientele.
