Our Story

Resources for Community Development (RCD) has been dedicated to creating and preserving affordable housing for over 40 years. Originating as a Berkeley-based membership group, RCD has expanded its reach to provide rental homes for more than 5,450 individuals and families across 25 cities in the Bay Area.

Impact

RCD has successfully delivered hundreds of affordable homes, particularly for vulnerable populations such as seniors and lower-wage working families. With plans for over 1,500 new apartments in the next three years, RCD remains committed to addressing the pressing housing needs in the Bay Area.
