Our Story

Founded in 2015 by Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II, Repairers of the Breach emerged from the North Carolina Forward Together Moral Movement. This grassroots initiative combats immoral policies affecting labor rights, voting rights, LGBTQ+ rights, healthcare, and criminal justice. Today, it leads a national moral movement that transcends race, class, gender identity, and faith, aiming to repair the breaches caused by systemic oppression.

Our Impact

Repairers of the Breach guides the nation in implementing a moral public policy agenda that addresses the needs of over 140 million poor and low-wealth individuals in America.
