Our Story

The Renton Schools Foundation was established in 2009 by dedicated community volunteers as the Friends of Renton Schools. Initially a non-profit fund under the Renton Regional Community Foundation, it has grown through the generosity of individual and corporate donors. In 2018, it transitioned to the Renton Schools Foundation and became an independent 501(c)(3) organization in 2019.

Impact

With support from community partners, the foundation enriches the lives of over 15,000 students across 27 schools in the Renton School District. Funding is directed towards vital programs in STEM, Literacy, Music/Arts, Teacher Grants, and the Principal's Emergency Fund.
