The Reno Chamber Orchestra was founded in 1974 by Music Director Vahe Khochayan and a group of talented musicians. From its first performance at The Reno Musician's Union hall, the RCO has grown to present five regular season concert sets each year, alongside a nationally recognized chamber music festival. The organization is dedicated to making classical music accessible to all through community partnerships.
Over its 49 seasons, the RCO has welcomed thousands of musicians, including world-renowned artists. The orchestra has received accolades in the Best of Reno awards, and five of its musicians have been honored with the Governor’s Award for Artistic Achievement.
