Our Story

Founded by Rodger and Denise Lester in Kansas City, Rended Heart emerged from a deep commitment to combat sexual exploitation. After volunteering with an anti-human trafficking organization, they recognized the urgent need for immediate housing for survivors. Opening their home in 2009, they have since led over 200 outreach efforts, gaining insight into the complexities of trauma and the necessity for holistic support.
