Our Story
Founded in 1992 by Lowell Miller, Regional Hospice Services is dedicated to providing compassionate care to patients and families facing terminal diagnoses. Recognizing the unique challenges of rural hospice care, the organization was established through a collaborative effort between local hospitals, including Memorial Medical Center in Ashland, Hayward Area Memorial Hospital, and Grand View Hospital in Ironwood, Michigan. Over the years, partnerships with Spooner Health and Burnett Medical Center have expanded the service area, ensuring that quality hospice care is accessible to all.
Regional Hospice Services believes that everyone deserves end-of-life care, regardless of their ability to pay. With a team of dedicated local staff, the organization delivers services wherever patients call home, fostering a sense of community and support.
