Our Story

In the late 1990s, Mary Johnson, an international supply chain sustainability consultant, recognized the urgent need to support grassroots leaders in the global south facing challenges like deforestation, gender inequality, and hunger. Partnering with Dr. Willie Smits, who was innovating solutions in Borneo, Regenerative Farms was born to focus on ecosystem restoration and empowering women farmers.

Our Impact

Since its founding in 2022, Regenerative Farms has established 15 Regeneration Hubs across 10 countries, positively impacting over 65,000 women farmers and their communities. The organization is dedicated to restoring degraded lands and equipping women with essential tools and training to combat hunger and poverty while addressing climate change.
