Our Story

Founded in February 2006, Refugee Resource Inc. emerged from the heartfelt dedication of Alysa Marx, who spent years volunteering with the refugee community in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Witnessing the challenges faced by refugee families, the organization was established to provide essential support in acculturation, empowerment, and education. In 2014, a collaboration with Free City International led to the creation of SEEK the Peace, enhancing the resources available to these families. By reinstating its nonprofit status in 2017, Refugee Resources focused on developing literacy skills, fostering relationships, and sharing the joys of life in America.
