Our Story

In the grace and power of Jesus Christ, thousands of people in Sonoma County have poured themselves out for the hungry and afflicted through the ministry of the Redwood Gospel Missions. What began as a humble 14-bed shelter in 1963 has evolved into a comprehensive service provider, mobilizing the community to minister to the needy through various homeless services, recovery programs, vocational training, jail ministries, outreach events, and a thrift store.
