Red Rock and Blue (RR&B) began in 1994 as a competitive softball tournament aimed at supporting Louisiana military charities. Founded by Jacques Doucet and Taylor Begnaud, the event has grown significantly, now including kickball and other activities. After 9/11, the mission to support local servicemen became even more critical, leading to the relocation of the tournament to Baton Rouge to enhance fundraising efforts.
Since its inception, Red Rock and Blue has raised over $21,000 in its debut year and has continued to grow, attracting nearly 80 teams to its events. This growth has significantly increased fundraising capabilities for military charities.
