RED OAKS CENTER FOR NATURE AND THE ARTS INC

Forest School is an idea that originated in Europe and a popular model for early childhood education that is catching on in the United States and around the world. Children thrive in this outdoor setting, in all weather types, constantly challenging their balance, fears, comfort levels, risk assessment, and physical and mental abilities. Through play, kids are able to release stress from a busy world and schedule, engage their senses, make deep and lasting connections to the natural world, as well as gain great interpersonal skills with other kids of all ages. Red Oaks Forest School benefits the community by providing space for families to connect with nature and learn through exploration and observation. Educational goals include STEM readiness, self sufficiency in outdoor spaces, including sharing & communication skills. Red Oak's mission is to encourage exploration and wonder, empowering everyone by reimagining education and building community around shared experiences in nature.
