Our Story
On March 30, 2012, a pivotal moment unfolded at a KFC table for two, where the founder of Red Oak Hope met a 23-year-old Ugandan woman who had been trafficked to Asia. Her harrowing tale of abuse culminated in a plea for help: "I don’t want to do this job. I want to go home. Will you help me?" This moment ignited the birth of Red Oak Hope. Just six weeks later, Sarah returned home to freedom, but the journey was far from over. As more women reached out for assistance, the organization recognized the urgent need for support and empowerment. What began as a response to one woman's plight has evolved into a global movement dedicated to women's empowerment, community development, and social justice.
