Founded in February 1927 in Birmingham, Alabama, the Red Mountain Garden Club has been a proud member of The Garden Club of America since 1933. This esteemed organization aims to foster a love for gardening, promote environmental conservation, and enhance the beauty of public spaces through educational initiatives and community engagement. The club's commitment to these values is evident in its active participation in local projects that beautify Birmingham and protect its natural resources.

Our Impact

One of the club's most significant achievements is the founding and ongoing support of the Memorial Garden at the Birmingham Museum of Art, established in 1959. This beautiful space not only serves as a tribute to the community but also enhances the environmental quality of the area. For over 40 years, RMGC has organized an annual greenery fundraiser, ensuring the sustainability of this cherished gift.
