Our Story

Red Media emerged from the anti-police violence movement in Tiwa Territory, Albuquerque, NM, as a response to the brutal slayings of Indigenous people. Founded by The Red Nation, this revolutionary, Indigenous-led organization addresses the marginalization of Native struggles within mainstream social justice. By providing a platform for Indigenous writers, Red Media aims to nourish and sustain Indigenous movements, ensuring their voices are heard and valued.

Impact

Red Media's mission is clear: to protect life on a planet facing ecological collapse and to model a future based on justice. The organization emphasizes that the stakes are decolonization or extinction, making their work vital for Indigenous communities and the environment.
