Our Story

Red Lodge Transition Services began in 2006 with a dedicated group of volunteers advocating for authentic Native American cultural practices within Oregon State prisons. The organization focuses on preventing incarceration and recidivism among Native American individuals, especially women, by providing culturally relevant programs and support for those transitioning back to community life.

Impact

Annually, Red Lodge serves approximately 1,500 adults in custody and community members, offering culturally competent programming that fosters prevention, responsibility, respect, and empowerment. Many individuals have successfully reconnected with their cultural roots, achieving sobriety and stability in their lives.
