Our Story

Recovery Trail Inc was founded to provide a safe haven for individuals seeking recovery from addiction. The journey began with a personal story of transformation and hope. Since achieving sobriety on February 26, 2010, the Executive Director, Toby Wagner, has dedicated his life to serving the local recovery community. Through service work, including weekly visits to the Sevier County Jail and participation in recovery camps, the mission to help others has grown stronger.

In October 2017, the need for a structured recovery environment became evident. Many individuals faced toxic home situations that hindered their recovery journey. Thus, Recovery Trail was established, obtaining 501(c)(3) status in May 2018. The organization is committed to teaching accountability, self-reliance, and fostering a spiritual connection that enhances self-esteem and self-worth.
