Recovery Point West Virginia was founded in 2005 following a tragic event that underscored the urgent need for recovery services in the Huntington area. Inspired by The Healing Place in Louisville, KY, the organization has expanded from 10 beds to 360 treatment beds across five facilities, providing long-term recovery services at no cost to participants. The mission is to help individuals suffering from substance use disorder find hope and rebuild their lives through evidence-based, peer-driven recovery programs.

Impact

In 2023, Recovery Point West Virginia housed and treated 1,120 individuals, provided 20,341 rides through its transportation initiative, and recorded 14,982 hours of community volunteering, with 222 graduates from its programs. This significant impact demonstrates the organization's commitment to supporting individuals in recovery.
