Founded by Chef Bruno Abate in 2014, Recipe for Change began as a program for male detainees at Cook County Jail to learn about healthy food and quality cooking. With community support and collaboration with the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, it has evolved into a comprehensive workforce development initiative that now serves both men and women, offering culinary and fine arts programs.
