Our Story
Founded in 2006 by Clemson University students, Rebuild Upstate began as a response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina. Initially focused on disaster relief in New Orleans, the organization quickly recognized the pressing need for home repairs in the Upstate of South Carolina. By 2007, Rebuild Upstate was formally incorporated, shifting its mission to serve local families in need. Over the years, the organization has mobilized over 10,000 volunteers to repair more than 1,750 homes across Anderson, Greenville, Oconee, and Pickens Counties.
