Rebuild North Bay Foundation: A Beacon of Hope

In October 2017, a catastrophic wildfire swept through the North Bay Counties of California, leaving devastation in its wake. In response to this crisis, Rebuild North Bay Foundation (RNBF) was established by a group of passionate individuals, including CEO Jennifer Gray Thompson, who experienced the disaster firsthand. RNBF is dedicated to providing comprehensive support for recovery efforts in Sonoma, Napa, Lake, and Mendocino counties.

As the Era of Megafire continues to challenge communities, RNBF focuses on fuels management programs and advocates for fire survivors through its initiative, After the Fire USA. Over the past five years, RNBF has led recovery efforts, sharing valuable lessons learned with communities affected by other megafires across California, Oregon, and Washington. In 2022, RNBF hosted its largest convening, uniting 126 organizations from the U.S. and Canada to discuss wildfire recovery and innovation.
