Our Story

In 2017, Laurie Lazar co-facilitated a Victim Impact Class at the Boulder County Jail, uncovering the need for effective communication training for incarcerated individuals. This realization led to the introduction of Authentic Relating workshops in prisons, resulting in the formation of Realness Project. Since then, nearly 1000 individuals in the Colorado Department of Corrections have participated in these transformative workshops.

Impact

Realness Project has achieved a remarkable 5% recidivism rate among its graduates, showcasing the effectiveness of its programs in empowering individuals and fostering community safety.
