Empowering Veterans Through Comprehensive Support
The Reaching New Heights Foundation (RNHF) is dedicated to assisting Veterans as they transition from active duty, incarceration, or homelessness. By collaborating with local and government agencies, RNHF builds pride and stability for those who have served our country. The Mentor Program offers a roadmap for success through interaction and accountability, while the Veterans Awareness Resources (VAR) program helps Veterans navigate the complexities of VA benefits, including disability compensation and healthcare.
RNHF's partnerships with the County Veterans Service offices in Riverside and San Bernardino ensure that Veterans receive the benefits they have earned. Professional counseling services are available for Veterans struggling with PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury, or Military Sexual Trauma, addressing the invisible wounds that often lead to legal challenges. Through active engagement in the Veteran Treatment Court (VTC), RNHF helps Veterans overcome legal barriers and achieve successful rehabilitation.
Recognizing the importance of employment in recovery, RNHF has established partnerships with Stronghold Engineering and America’s Job Centers of California to assist Veterans in returning to work. Job coaching provides resources on financial literacy, resume building, job searching, and interview preparation. Collaborations with local colleges, including California State University San Bernardino and Riverside Community College, further support Veterans in achieving their educational goals.
Each year, RNHF hosts The Ruck Challenge 10K Walk/Run, fostering positive interactions between Veterans, the community, and law enforcement. This event not only promotes teamwork and endurance but also raises essential funds to sustain support for Veterans in need.
