REACH Initiative

Our Story

The REACH Initiative was founded under the West Virginia Council of Churches to create Reentry Councils across the state. From humble beginnings with one volunteer, it has grown into a dedicated team of six full-time staff members and additional contracted support. This evolution led to the establishment of a separate nonprofit focused on Reentry Initiatives and Criminal Justice Reform, aiming to restore dignity through compassion and understanding.
