Founded in 1993, the Royal College Old Boys' East Coast Association (RCOBECA) unites alumni of Royal College, Sri Lanka, residing in the East Coast of the United States. Initially focused on social activities and sports, it evolved into a charitable organization dedicated to enhancing the educational experiences of students at Royal College. In 2017, the RCOBEC Foundation was established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to further these efforts.
The RCOBEC Foundation has made significant contributions, including over $8,000 for a public address system and $8,500 for a new hostel at Royal College. Additionally, it has supported various projects and underprivileged schools in Sri Lanka, making a lasting difference in the community.
