Creating And Preserving Marine Parks

Our Story

The Recreational Boating Association of Washington Marine Parks Conservancy, originally known as the Puget Sound Interclub Association, has a rich history dating back to the 1950s. The organization was founded with a vision to protect the natural beauty of the Salish Sea region. One of its first significant achievements was raising $25,000 to purchase land on Sucia Island, which was then donated to the State to establish a Marine Park, thwarting plans for commercial development.

Our Impact

Dedicated to preserving recreational boating opportunities, the Conservancy ensures that marine parks like Sucia Island remain protected for future generations. This commitment safeguards the marine environment and promotes sustainable recreational activities.
