Our Story

The Ranfurly Home for Children was established in the mid-1950s after a devastating fire in downtown Nassau, Bahamas, left many children homeless. Lady Hermione Ranfurly discovered these children living in cardboard boxes and, motivated by their plight, worked tirelessly to create a safe haven for them. With support from local and international contacts, she secured a property and opened the home, which has since continued to provide care for displaced children.

Our Impact

Ranfurly Homes for Children offers comprehensive childcare services, ensuring the rights of vulnerable children are protected while providing a stable, loving environment. The organization focuses on education, counseling, and mentoring to prepare children for independent living.
