Transforming Lives at Rancho Cielo

What began as a dream of a few dedicated individuals has blossomed into a beacon of hope for hundreds of young people in Monterey County. Established in 2000, Rancho Cielo Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a comprehensive learning and social services center for the region’s underserved youth. Inspired by the vision of now-retired Judge John M. Phillips, Rancho Cielo aims to break the cycle of offending and incarceration that traps many young individuals.

After overcoming initial feasibility challenges, Rancho Cielo opened its doors on October 10, 2004, on a revitalized 100-acre property. With the support of the local business community and generous private donors, the organization has transformed lives by providing educational and vocational opportunities to youth facing barriers to success.

Impacting the Community

Rancho Cielo has successfully helped hundreds of students graduate from high school, equipping them with the skills needed to thrive in society. The organization not only supports individual students but also strengthens families and contributes to the economic future of Monterey County.
