Rainbows for All Children

Our Story

Founded in 1983 by Suzy Yehl Marta, Rainbows for All Children began as a grassroots mission to support children facing loss. After struggling to find a support group for her own sons following her divorce, Suzy collaborated with mental health professionals to create a curriculum tailored for children experiencing grief. This innovative program was first piloted in three private schools in the Chicago area and has since expanded to serve thousands of youth across 16 countries.

Impact

With over 40 years of programming, Rainbows has provided essential support to children navigating the storms of life. The peer-to-peer support model has been shown to significantly reduce the risk of suicide, high school dropout, substance abuse, and behavioral disorders among participants.
