Founded in May 2019, the Rainbow Rose Center emerged from the vibrant Equality Fest events in York, Pennsylvania, celebrating marriage equality since 2014. This 100% volunteer-based organization was born from community requests for local resources to enhance daily lives. Achieving 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in June 2020, the Rainbow Rose Center is dedicated to ensuring the LGBTQIA+ community in York County thrives through various programs and services.
Since opening its office in May 2023, the Rainbow Rose Center has provided essential programming to promote the health and wellbeing of the LGBTQIA+ community through support groups, resource connections, and celebratory events.
