Our Story

Founded in 2006, RAHAMA was established to bridge the gap in services for domestic violence survivors in Western New York, focusing on Muslim women and isolated immigrant groups. This grassroots initiative has evolved into a vital nonprofit organization, providing advocacy, counseling, education, and transitional housing since becoming a 501(c)3 in 2016.

Our Impact

RAHAMA has positively impacted the lives of over 600 women and children, delivering more than 1,800 essential services and traveling over 7,500 miles to support survivors of domestic violence.
